1.) I was born with a bone from my inner left ear missing. As a result, I spent a part of my childhood in MRI's and dark doctor's offices with high pitched noises being played in my ears. I've got roughly a 75% hearing loss in my left ear. Irritations included: People who act like I am stupid because I ask them to repeat themselves, The dizziness caused by not having an entire inner ear, a poor sense of balance, not being able to appreciate music at full volume, and not being able to multitask conversations while on a telephone. It's affected me more at work than anywhere else.

2.) I've 'walked around' inside of my character's heads since I was about 10. This was a product of a sudden, unexpected move. Since I went from a place where I had a lot of friends, to a place where I had none...I became introverted and started to create made up people and stories in my head, usually walking around as whichever character was my favorite. I've matured this method and use it to understand all characters within a story. I'm hoping once I write something substantial that it will reflect in my writing.

3.) My father was in the U.S. Navy when I was very young. I've lived throughout the country, though most of my memory is settled in Florida, and Virginia. Most people wouldn't take me to be "Southern" because I was never settled anywhere long enough to develop the accent.

4.) I am extremely passionate about Love. As a result, I believe all people have the right to be together in whatever capacity they wish. If they want to marry, they should be able to. I don't find it fair that others try to impose a double standard; allowing themselves to be miserable in their 'normal' relationships, whereas they would not give the same rights to a happy 'non-traditional' couple. Love is love.

5.) Closed-mindedness pisses me off, and I'm very closed minded about it at times.

6.) I've been told I'm more of a picture out of what would be considered beautiful in the Renaissance. I'm not your rail-thin primadonna overly-made up supermodel. I'm just me. And me just happens to come with some extra weight, bags under the eyes etc. The sign of age. I'm trying to care less, but it's difficult.

7.) I've got terrible anxiety. I believe myself to be able to feel the general mood of people around me, and it affects me very badly. Working in retail has been Hell on my psyche, because a lot of people wander into places like that angry. The people that work there are not much better. My anxiety used to be so bad that I could not order my own food anywhere (because I was so nervous) or pick up a phone to call anyone. I'd like to think that while I'm still very awkward and nervous, I've had some great improvements.

8.) I complain about my job, a lot. Considering that it's practically the only thing I have time to do, that may be a part of it.

9.) I will open a business one day, to be called Compass Rose Modern. It will be a combination of a cafe/bar/community center/art gallery. I intend for my patrons to be artists. I will display the work of my patrons, and allow them to sell it or contract their services. There will be community events coordinated to host local art, weekly events such as concerts by local music groups, art clinics, karaoke, readings, etc. I want a place that will allow people to network together with other creative types, to help their talents grow and nourish it into something that they can do throughout their lives. It will also involve other people outside of the creative community in the local community, to enrich the culture of the area where it will be located. As of yet, I don't have a location for it, nor the startup funds. But, I will be writing a business plan and making headway for it once all of my debts are squared. I NEED this business: it's my calling. I may not have the talent to make art my own career, but I certainly want to lend my talents to those that they could help.
