My Bio
Describing oneself is more difficult than one would to think.

I've been diving into my head and creating made up characters and stories since I was a child. The imaginary people never left me as I grew up. In my adolescent and teen years I began to write short stories with the energy of youth. As I got older, that energy left me...but with the help and inspiration of my other half, I am rediscovering and trying to harness that energy again. I also enjoy casual photography, drawing, and web/graphic design.

Two "short" pieces in a week, and both are actually finished - or at least polished enough where you can read it beginning to end and it comes across as a little story. Sadly, they're both roleplaying characters for City of Heroes, and I don't really get much roleplay time in. Hah. Frankly, I kind of avoid the scene because it's more drama than I care for - that and my work schedule totally wrecks it - I never seem to be able to connect with anyone. But roleplaying is some sort of odd zen for me, and I get hooked on it really badly. So in order to curb it (because poor Dylan just isn't as focused on it as I tend to be), I've been advised by

Wow. Over a year? I'd almost forgotten about this. How does one summarize a year? Well, artistically, I took quite a few leaps and bounds. And by that, I mean I actually participated in NaNoWriMo (the National Novel Writing Month, which can be found here: http://www.nanowrimo.org/ ) and managed to "win" by completing over 50,000 words, and almost 120 pages of prose. I haven't had this sort of success with my writing in years. Now, whether or not any of it is any good remains to be seen, but it is, afterall, a first draft. I'm not too concerned about that. With the help of friends and loved ones, I am sure I will complete the novel, revise i

Lately, I have been trying to read a little more. I've heard tell that reading a great variety of things can enhance your writing ability, and so I've been wanting to do that. The problem is that I have chosen a very, very long book and get tired from reading for hours at a time. In the time it would have taken me to read two of Jim Butcher's Dresden Files I have read half of George R. R. Martin's A Game of Thrones. And while the adventure has given me a few headaches, I am halfway through a journey of deliciousness. I think I had been intimidated by the length of the book, at first. Easy-reads are much more my style, and have been enterta
